When Prayer Begets Prayer

In the last 24 hours, I have had two separate people tell me they enjoy my writing. Both were unsolicited, and a complete surprise to me, but also incredibly flattering and somewhat needed.
I truly believe that God gave me a gifting in my ability to write. I try to write as much as possible in a way that honors God, encourages others, and provides some relatability to others. And even though I iust started writing in this blog again in just the last few days, I was already questioning if it was something I should be sinking my time into.
In fact, I spent time in prayer last night, specifically asking God to help me in this area by making a few things clear. And that’s the lovey thing about the way God works. He lets you know in the strangest of ways His answer, if only you are willing to listen.
I’m grateful I stopped to listen to both ladies who made the comment. It means the world to me when someone appreciates what I write, but even more so that God put in on their hearts to confirm that I should continue sharing my thoughts.
I have never been as strong of a prayer as I should be this far in my faith journey. But I have been putting the effort in recently and have been seeing the fruit from it. Additionally, I’ve reflected on my prayer life until now and have seen God’s faithfulness throughout my life. He’s never let me down, and his answers have always been what’s best for me in the moment.
The reality is that I know how important prayer is, and incidences like this make me realize how vital it is that I be praying all the time; not just about the big things but about all the things! God wants us to check with him on all aspects of our life—he answers all prayers in his time, but in the waiting, growth and trust grow.

The reality is that a healthy prayer life will only lead to more prayer. Relationships work that way. It’s a give and take. So, just because I got an answer today to keep writing, doesn’t mean I’ll stop asking God about the next steps here. I know he’ll guide me in his way.
So, what about you? Comment below if you pray regularly and if you find God’s answers to be as specific as this example.
