Stop a Tantrum

I'm on toddler number three. I'm not expert, but I've learned a few tricks when it comes to toddler meltdowns and tantrums.

My favorite one is simple.

Sometimes it doesn’t work, but when it does, it’s the best.

Sometimes, all my toddler needs is a snuggle, a cuddle, and a little bit of singing together.

But let's be real. When it doesn't work, I need a backup! In that case, redirection normally works. If we can get her focus off the thing she is losing her mind over, we can usually save the moment.

Sometimes older siblings are key; a quick game with them and your toddler may be back to normal.

But in the early morning hours when they’re still asleep, and mom or dad is all she has, this is our first try.

And 9 times out of 10, this works.
