A Year Later It's All Different and All the Same

Last year, on the Saturday before Halloween, we took two kids and a belly to the pumpkin patch we've visited since our move to our home 4 years ago. We did all the pumpkin patch things--pictures with pumpkins, picture to see how tall we are, a visit to the animals, and a stroll through the corn maze.

It was a great day that we all enjoyed, especially knowing that soon we'd be welcoming our baby into the world.

Little did we know that stroll through the corn maze would kick my labor into action. I woke up Sunday morning and knew. The baby was just about ready and my body was getting ready to evict her.

We did all the last minute nesting items, we called my mom to come up just in case, and we went to bed early knowing that my labors tend to happen at night.

Little miss Sweet P didn't make her grand arrival until Monday night, but that trip to the pumpkin patch was my turning point.

So today, when we went back to the same pumpkin patch with our sweet girl for the first time, it was much more nostalgic.

A year later, and things are all different, but really, it's all the same.
